Let them dream their
own dreams, 2001
Over the years, shades of my children's personalities have manifested inside their respective cabanas. In Katya’s, there is a pink polka-dot wall and a cloud-filled blue sky, which reflect the emotions of a young girl; in Charles’s, the walls are stark black and white, contrasted only by the burnt orange ceiling. From the doorway of each cabana, one can peer into the other, like the architecture of the relationship between a sister and brother.
