Let them dream their own dreams installation, 2010

In 2001, I began to work on the construction of the Tree House. The structure is at once a personal recollection of rural homes in Africa, and a western play space to be coloured by my children’s imaginations and feelings. Memory acts as the process and the material for the work. The installation incorporates a projection of photos and a video, creating a space in which two opposite and contradictory, yet complementary, worlds come together.
